I called a few places and was turned off because of the rudeness of whomever answered the phone. Not the case when I called David. So far I have come across only two fair places in Boca to sell your jewelry. One estate buyer and here. I made an appointment to visit with David that afternoon and was later greeted by David at the door. His outright friendliness was candidly warm, personable and very down-to-earth. I had an old mine cut diamond that was a family heirloom remade into an engagement ring, and I took it to a jeweler who completely messed it up and set the diamond wrong and it fell out. They had also resized the band incorrectly. David is an expert. We went to him and he reset the diamond beautifully, fixed the band, and it’s amazing. Also, because the diamond is so old and so unique we couldn’t find a wedding band that went with it correctly. David had a wedding band for us custom made, that looks AMAZING. Everything was done in a reasonable amount of time, for a reasonable price, with great expertise and craftsmanship. Go to David!!

I had been looking for somebody to make me an engagement ring for some time and felt pretty uncomfortable dealing with many of the jewelers I had spoken with. Experienced jeweler with not only a high end, unique selection of jewelry, but a great appraisal service. I recently had an appraisal session with David Stern and was very impressed. He was thorough and informative, and is now my go-to-jeweler. My appraisal (which includes a picture of the ring) was e-mailed to me, and another copy should arrive in the mail shortly. I also got a ring re-rhodium plated and some other rings steam cleaned while I got the appraisal, and they did a great job with those as well. Lastly, his store has a lot of rare and beautiful pieces that I will definitely be taking of in the future. Couldn't be more pleased with my experience. I needed to get an engagement ring made for my fiance, and David came highly recommended. I already had a diamond from an heirloom and needed it transformed into a new ring. From the first visit up until the end result David made me feel extremely comfortable. Walking in I had a really good idea of what I wanted. After seeing the reviews and reputation that David had online I decided to stop in for my engagement ring shopping. My girlfriend at the time was interested in yellow sapphires so I mentioned to him that that's what I was looking for and gave him a price range. He had a few in the store but said that he had worked with other jewelers in town for twenty odd years, and thought they'd have some great ones for the ring. I think that same day he had spoken to a friend of his in the business and sent me an HD video of a beautiful yellow sapphire that they had. I was able to send that around to people helping me with the decision, and everyone loved the stone. He got it from his friend the next day and I was able to see it in the store and purchase it. We had a bit of a special request of the band being gold, and he designed a beautiful ring accommodating that, and even had my fiance's sister on the phone with us to talk through the design. It's worth noting that he only had a few weeks to make the ring itself since I wanted to propose on a specific date, and he got it done well early. The ring turned out to be a knockout and everyone loves it. It's worth noting that David went above and beyond to cut costs where he could, and has been prepared to make a few tweaks for my fiance when she's finally willing to part with it for a few weeks. I'll be doing business with David again for sure.

David is the bomb! I have lived in South Florida for 24 years and have been searching for an honest and talented jeweler for almost as long. My diamond ring needed some improvement. The setting was old and the rhodium plating was starting to wear off. The baguettes on either side of the center stone had no sparkle to them. I told David I didn’t have a lot of money to spend right now and wanted to know if there was anything he could do to give my ring life again. Lo and behold he performed magic. I picked up my ring today and was floored by how beautiful it looked. He re-rhodium plated the ring, replaced the baguettes with super shiny round stones, lowered the center stone just enough to make the ring look twice as big! All this for an extremely reasonable price. I couldn’t be happier! If you are looking for an honest and experienced jeweler, David Stern is your man.
