From the moment I walked into David Stern Jewelers, I was very comfortable and welcomed. Right now, due to Covid19 it can be difficult to find a jewelry repair shop that is open. I called a few places and was turned off because of the rudeness of whomever answered the phone. Not the case when I called David. Though it was gorgeous and a fine example of his craftsmanship, it admittedly made me feel a bit out of place considering my comparatively miniscule budget so I asked him quite bluntly, “Why are you even considering doing business with me?”. His reply was something that speaks volumes about his business philosophy and his moral ground: “No job is too small.”

I felt at ease by his candor and felt that he truly valued my business, and that is exactly what I was looking for in the several-month-long search for the right jeweler and ring. There was no hiding behind a façade, and the attitude and information he and his staff gave me was as genuine and pure as the diamonds I purchased.

I have since returned to David Stern to purchase a wedding band for myself and was met with the same great experience I expected based on my prior encounters. Despite having some jewelry with a great trade-in program at a name brand store and despite extensively shopping around prior to visiting David, no one could match the quality of work or customer service that his shop provides. I love that he is all about making me happy and delivering a result that both he and I are proud of.

Highly recommend. I had an old mine cut diamond that was a family heirloom remade into an engagement ring, and I took it to a jeweler who completely messed it up and set the diamond wrong and it fell out. They had also resized the band incorrectly. David is an expert. We went to him and he reset the diamond beautifully, fixed the band, and it’s amazing. Also, because the diamond is so old and so unique we couldn’t find a wedding band that went with it correctly. David had a wedding band for us custom made, that looks AMAZING. After seeing the reviews and reputation that David had online I decided to stop in for my engagement ring shopping. My girlfriend at the time was interested in yellow sapphires so I mentioned to him that that's what I was looking for and gave him a price range. He had a few in the store but said that he had worked with other jewelers in town for twenty odd years, and thought they'd have some great ones for the ring. I think that same day he had spoken to a friend of his in the business and sent me an HD video of a beautiful yellow sapphire that they had. I was able to send that around to people helping me with the decision, and everyone loved the stone. He got it from his friend the next day and I was able to see it in the store and purchase it. We had a bit of a special request of the band being gold, and he designed a beautiful ring accommodating that, and even had my fiance's sister on the phone with us to talk through the design. It's worth noting that he only had a few weeks to make the ring itself since I wanted to propose on a specific date, and he got it done well early. The ring turned out to be a knockout and everyone loves it. It's worth noting that David went above and beyond to cut costs where he could, and has been prepared to make a few tweaks for my fiance when she's finally willing to part with it for a few weeks. I'll be doing business with David again for sure.

The setting was old and the rhodium plating was starting to wear off. The baguettes on either side of the center stone had no sparkle to them. I brought in my engagement ring for a “second opinion” because when someone at the International Diamond Exchange resized my ring, it came back with unremovable residue under the diamonds in the setting, and denied that it was a problem. David and Colleen told me they would put it in an acid bath, and they kindly removed my center stone to avoid damaging anything. They placed the stone safely in a little pack for me to take home, which was so wonderful because it is a family stone. I hope to be picking it up soon. David said it would look as good as new!Because they were so kind, I went ahead and asked them about a design for my fiancé’s wedding ring. David gave me a great estimate and set up a plan for me that I can afford (I’m about to graduate college) and told me he would make it exactly to my specifications. So far I have come across only two fair places in Boca to sell your jewelry. One estate buyer and here. The difference is David is a gemologist and has a lot of inventory and I really appreciated his time and professional manner. His prices were more than double that I was offered anywhere else and right in line with one other place I would definitely go back to him because he is fair and honest. I feel he is more of an expert and has lots of knowledge he was a pleasure to work with and highly ethical. I will make purchases as well as sell again to him and likely won’t go elsewhere from now on. Very fair and beyond double what others offered besides the one place who really were not gem experts.

Highly recommend. I had an old mine cut diamond that was a family heirloom remade into an engagement ring, and I took it to a jeweler who completely messed it up and set the diamond wrong and it fell out. They had also resized the band incorrectly. David is an expert. We went to him and he reset the diamond beautifully, fixed the band, and it’s amazing. Also, because the diamond is so old and so unique we couldn’t find a wedding band that went with it correctly. David had a wedding band for us custom made, that looks AMAZING. Everything was done in a reasonable amount of time, for a reasonable price, with great expertise and craftsmanship. Go to David!!

He was thorough and informative, and is now my go-to-jeweler. My appraisal (which includes a picture of the ring) was e-mailed to me, and another copy should arrive in the mail shortly. I also got a ring re-rhodium plated and some other rings steam cleaned while I got the appraisal, and they did a great job with those as well.
