If you're like me and have a lot of questions before even going to a Jeweler, let me just say that David Stern is very nice, patient and answered all of my questions over the telephone, which made me feel very comfortable. When you walk in, you automatically feel welcome and comfortable. I have four pieces of sentimental jewelry. Two pieces are my late mother's old-fashioned beautiful jewelry, my engagement ring I received from my husband 17 years ago. and a diamond pendent from my late mother-in-law. I needed to get a new appraisal done for insurance purposes. I called numerous jewelry stores to find the right jeweler that was both GIA Certified and reasonably priced. I called at least 12 or more jewelers from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach, FL. David Stern was the most reasonable, professional and personable. We set an appointment to have it done and he took his time to look at my jewelry, write the appraisal and take beautiful pictures of each piece of jewelry. His certified appraisal was professionally written. While I was in his store, I looked at a few pieces of jewelry and I was surprised to see the beautiful and good quality in design in the jewelry that he sells.. David is also very informative and he made some good recommendations to me about insurance companies that I was unaware of. Highly recommend. I had an old mine cut diamond that was a family heirloom remade into an engagement ring, and I took it to a jeweler who completely messed it up and set the diamond wrong and it fell out. They had also resized the band incorrectly. David is an expert. We went to him and he reset the diamond beautifully, fixed the band, and it’s amazing. Also, because the diamond is so old and so unique we couldn’t find a wedding band that went with it correctly. David had a wedding band for us custom made, that looks AMAZING. Everything was done in a reasonable amount of time, for a reasonable price, with great expertise and craftsmanship. Go to David!!

Experienced jeweler with not only a high end, unique selection of jewelry, but a great appraisal service. I recently had an appraisal session with David Stern and was very impressed. He was thorough and informative, and is now my go-to-jeweler. My appraisal (which includes a picture of the ring) was e-mailed to me, and another copy should arrive in the mail shortly. I also got a ring re-rhodium plated and some other rings steam cleaned while I got the appraisal, and they did a great job with those as well. Lastly, his store has a lot of rare and beautiful pieces that I will definitely be taking of in the future. Couldn't be more pleased with my experience. After seeing the reviews and reputation that David had online I decided to stop in for my engagement ring shopping. My girlfriend at the time was interested in yellow sapphires so I mentioned to him that that's what I was looking for and gave him a price range. He had a few in the store but said that he had worked with other jewelers in town for twenty odd years, and thought they'd have some great ones for the ring. I think that same day he had spoken to a friend of his in the business and sent me an HD video of a beautiful yellow sapphire that they had. I was able to send that around to people helping me with the decision, and everyone loved the stone. He got it from his friend the next day and I was able to see it in the store and purchase it. We had a bit of a special request of the band being gold, and he designed a beautiful ring accommodating that, and even had my fiance's sister on the phone with us to talk through the design. It's worth noting that he only had a few weeks to make the ring itself since I wanted to propose on a specific date, and he got it done well early. The ring turned out to be a knockout and everyone loves it. It's worth noting that David went above and beyond to cut costs where he could, and has been prepared to make a few tweaks for my fiance when she's finally willing to part with it for a few weeks. I'll be doing business with David again for sure.

The setting was old and the rhodium plating was starting to wear off. The baguettes on either side of the center stone had no sparkle to them. I told David I didn’t have a lot of money to spend right now and wanted to know if there was anything he could do to give my ring life again. Lo and behold he performed magic. I picked up my ring today and was floored by how beautiful it looked. He re-rhodium plated the ring, replaced the baguettes with super shiny round stones, lowered the center stone just enough to make the ring look twice as big! From the moment I walked into David Stern Jewelers, I was very comfortable and welcomed. Right now, due to Covid19 it can be difficult to find a jewelry repair shop that is open. I called a few places and was turned off because of the rudeness of whomever answered the phone. Not the case when I called David. Very polite!I have a 22k solid rope chain that is very important to me and noticed one of the links were broken off and needed immediate repair. I took it to David Stern Jewelers and was told that I could continue to wear my necklace, but at anytime it could break (22k is obviously soft) and my options were to solder it, or wear it until it breaks. I decided to have it soldered and I'm glad I did. So far I have come across only two fair places in Boca to sell your jewelry. One estate buyer and here. The difference is David is a gemologist and has a lot of inventory and I really appreciated his time and professional manner. His prices were more than double that I was offered anywhere else and right in line with one other place I would definitely go back to him because he is fair and honest. I feel he is more of an expert and has lots of knowledge he was a pleasure to work with and highly ethical. I brought in my engagement ring for a “second opinion” because when someone at the International Diamond Exchange resized my ring, it came back with unremovable residue under the diamonds in the setting, and denied that it was a problem. David and Colleen told me they would put it in an acid bath, and they kindly removed my center stone to avoid damaging anything.
